Homework
Homework is given at the teacher's discretion and is generally relevant to work being undertaken at school. It provides students with opportunities to consolidate their classroom learning, pattern behaviour for lifelong learning beyond the classroom and involve family members in their learning. As a parent, it is extremely important to encourage your child to develop good study habits. We encourage regular reading and the learning of spelling/number facts.
Parents should show interest in their children's activities at home and encourage reading by reading with children and to children, with plenty of praise for their efforts. Criticism should be avoided.
It is the responsibility of the parent to check with their children/teacher for set homework. If you have any concerns regarding homework, please clarify them with your child's teacher.
